Theodore Kwaku Albright is a dual qualified lawyer with extensive international exposure. An original thinker, am a lawyer who seeks elegant solutions to intractable problems. He was admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales and as a Barrister in Ghana. Theodore holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. He is a qualified Certified Trust and Estate Practitioner and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk and Compliance via International Compliance Association.
He has over 15 years extensive experience in general corporate work including corporate acquisitions, private equity, banking, property, tax and trust transactions having worked in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Africa. He has worked as part of a team alongside “Magic Circle Law Firms” in which we have negotiated, drafted documentation and closed on several transactions valued in the billions of dollars.
Theodore has valuable experience as Company Secretary supporting boards of complex, high profile organisations. He has good knowledge of corporate governance principles. In his current role as Head of Legal and Company Secretary, he has responsibility for ensuring a full secretariat service is provided to board committees and board meetings.
Theodore's strength lies in his ability to think and operate at a strategic level, this is coupled with highly developed relationship building and stakeholder influencing skills. He possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and conclusions into language applicable to his target audience. His current experience of working in Africa, together with his previous experience of working in Europe has enabled him to gain an understanding of working in a culturally diverse environment.
Kingsley Obeng
Founder, Executive Director and Managing Director
Kingsley is the Founder and Executive Director of Canon Group. He is a UK qualified lawyer with significant legal experience from the United Kingdom. Working as an in house solicitor in the UK, Kingsley has gained an enormous insight into the Financial Services industry. Kingsley has had extensive experience in Asset Management, Project Finance and Corporate Finance.
He has been involved in several multi-million pound deals from inception to completion while in practice. He is an ambitious and determined lawyer and entrepreneur with a vision to use Canon Group as the gateway to investing in Ghana and around the world. He is the owner of Oracle Builders (construction and rental of scaffolding) and Goldbrook Properties (sale and rental of properties).
Kingsley has a proven track record of successfully building businesses from inception. His infectious energy and vision will be an invaluable asset to the success of MPX in the future.
Ato Nyamekye Wilberforce
Non Executive Director
Ato is a seasoned Financial Consultant. He is a senior Financial Analyst with extensive International and Local exposure and was appointed to the board of Directors in 2012.
Prior to joining the board of MPX Contractors, he worked within the corporate department at UT Financial Services (now UT Bank), Standard Trust (now UBA) and Amalgamated Bank (now bank of Africa) for over a decade.
Ato serves on a number of board locally and internationally. Due to his vast experience and pragmatic approach to tackling and curbing financial challenges, he continues to provide a high level of expertise to all his clients. He is an invaluable member of our board.
